Leaflet of the exhibition Get Rid of Yourself (Ancora Ancora Ancora), curated by Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti in collaboration with ALMARE, with the works of Dafne Boggeri, Teresa Cos, Ambra Pittoni, Elena Radice, Radna Rumping, Erica van Loon. The exhibition presented a collective sound exhibition that takes shape in the dark. The project investigates the production of an imaginary in the absence, reflecting on the political possibilities to inhabit invisibility. Disseminated in a sound path, built in collaboration with the collective ALMARE, the narrations of the invited artists act in the dark, transforming their privative meaning into a place for the active sharing of practices. According to Giorgio Agamben, only those who do not let themselves be blinded by the lights of the century and can see in them part of the shadow, their intimate darkness, can be called contemporary.
Get Rid of Yourself (Ancora Ancora Ancora) receives in the face the emission of darkness that comes from its time. With it is proposed a Late Summer Show that takes visitors from the warm and sunny urban space to the fresh and alienating darkness of the exhibition space. The duration of the exhibition is the same that the eyes take to get used to the absence of light, in which the limit between awareness and unconsciousness is weakened. As Erica van Loon suggests in the track presented in the exhibition: "How long does it take your brain to realise that you didn't blink but that I switched off the light?"
